At our school, we believe that Learning Outside The Classroom (LOTC) is an essential part of each child’s curriculum. This may be in the form of school trips, walks in the local area or even popping outside in the school grounds when we feel that our learning can be enhanced outside.
We are extremely fortunate at Middlestone Moor Primary that we have a fantastic outside space, which offers endless possibilities for learning. With the recent addition of our pond, an extended allotment and our OPAL sheds, the opportunities to learn outside have never been better!
We would like all children to be able to access our fantastic outside space throughout the year, so the addition of our welly sheds allows children to keep a pair of wellies at school, which they can access on a lunch time or during lessons, if necessary.
