Aims, Vision & Ethos

We aim to prepare our pupils for success in their future by giving them the skills and resiliance they need for the workplace plus a strong sense of morals and
respect. Our aims are based upon the following five outcomes for our children:

  • Be healthy
  • Stay safe
  • Enjoy and achieve
  • Make a positive contribution
  • Achieve economic well being

At Middlestone Moor we are healthy and stay safe because:

  • We promote healthy eating and an active lifestyle
  • Our younger pupils have daily fruit and all pupils have ready access to water and fruit through choice
  • We deliver an inclusive curriculum which takes account of all pupils
  • We offer after school clubs specifically designed for Sport and un-derstanding health issues
  • We teach our children how to keep themselves safe

At Middlestone Moor we enjoy and achieve through:

  • High quality teaching and learning
  • An enriched curriculum
  • Using our school funds to promote curriculum enrichment and enhancement ac-tivities and resources
  • Setting targets for our children and involving them in their own target setting achievement
  • Dedication to celebrating achievement of all kinds

At Middlestone Moor we make a positive contribution by:

  • Encouraging excellent behaviour and taking responsibility for our own choices
  • Expressing our views and taking account of the views of all through the school council
  • Fund raising events to support the local and wider community

At Middlestone Moor we promote economic well being by:

  • Good progress in basic skills
  • Encouraging pupils to become actively involved in lessons; taking initiatives, thinking creatively, solving problems and decision making.
